Rooms & Suites: FAQ's
How many bedrooms do you have?
We have 21 individually decorated bedrooms, a mixture of suites,
four posters and doubles. Everyone has their favourite.
Are any of the bedrooms on the ground floor?
Yes, we have ground floor rooms in St Margaret's in the courtyard.
Lovely view of the water fountain.
Do you cater for the disabled?
Yes, we offer access for the disabled to toilets, restaurant
Anise, ground floor bedrooms and lifts into the castle.
When is check-in?
You will be able to check into your room from 3pm.
When is check-out?
We ask for rooms to be vacated by 11.00am.
Do you allow pets in the bedrooms?
Unfortunately, furry friends are not allowed in the bedrooms.
Do you have non-smoking bedrooms?
All 21 bedrooms are non-smoking.
Do you offer Room Service?
We are pleased to offer room service between 7.00am and 9.30pm.
Is there a taxi service?
We do not run our own taxi service however, they are available
in the area. Details can be obtained frrom reception..
Do you have Bars & Lounges?
In Restaurant Anise we
gladly serve you with drinks throughout the day and evening. Drinks
can also be served in our Library Bar. All the Castle's public rooms
can be used for conferences and functions.
Do you have satellite TV?
Yes, we have a small variety of channels
Do you have internet access?
Yes, we have full WiFi Broadband throughout the Castle.
Do you have leisure facilities such as
a swimming pool?
We do not have on-site leisure facilities, though we do have
77 acres of woodland for leisurely walking, jogging or rambling
(boots provided) and Clay Pigeon shooting by prior arrangement.
What is the dress code in the restaurant?
We do not require formal evening dress (unless you fancy it).
Something casual but smart is perfect. We like people to feel relaxed
and comfortable.
Do you have family rooms?
We have nine suites in which the sofas can become double beds,
as if by magic!
Is baby-sitting available?
Yes, we have an on-site child minder, MIranda. As reception for details..
Do you cater for children?
Yes, certainly, we have a child's menu available in our Restaurant
Anise.
How far are you from Leeds railway station?
We are 15 miles away.
How far are you from York railway station?
We are 12 miles away
How far are you from Leeds-Bradford airport?
We are 19 miles away.
Do you have car parking?
Yes, we have both resident and non-resident car parks with
gates and CCTV.
Do you have any special offers for dinner
and bed & breakfast?
Yes, we have special packages throughout the year for combinations
of dinner, bed, breakfast and optional champagne.
