Castle History

Hazlewood Castle has been in the family estate of the Vavasours since Norman times and was first mentioned in the Domesday Book in 1086

We have a 1000 years of real history within these ancient walls and far too much to feature everything on this page, so we have a short video to watch and we also recommend a guided history tour so you don't miss a thing of the intriguing history of this magnificent Castle.
